Offers In Excess Of £215,000

This lovely quaint two-bedroom home sits within walking distance of the amenities available within the town centre. If you need access to the high street, county square shopping centre, international station and Ashford college, this could be just the place for you! An ideal purchase if you are first time buyer taking steps onto the property ladder, landlord looking for a buy-to-let opportunity and maybe you are downsizing and just need easy access to the town.

Having been lovingly updated, there really is little work required, if any, before you can move your belongings in and start enjoying your new home. The seller has recently re-decorated the front of the house, had carpets laid to the stairs and landing and a little over a year ago the kitchen was completed re-furbished and new modern white gloss kitchen installed.
Wood flooring runs throughout the ground floor of the house, which has a lovely flor through from the lounge at the front, to the kitchen at the back. The layout is very traditional of the design and age of the house.
The lounge to the front enjoys a beautiful multi-fuel burner and built-in cupboards to the recess' either side of the chimney.
Beyond is the dining room, with the stand out feature being the open brick-built chimney; a lovely feature.
To the rear is the kitchen which was only updated a year or so ago and now boasts a modern design with oak work surfaces.
Upstairs are two double bedrooms and a family bathroom.
The larger of the bedrooms faces the front and features a period fireplace (defunct) and recess' either side of the chimney for fitting wardrobes into. The second bedroom a little smaller; albeit still a double bedroom, and features a built-in cupboard.
The family bathroom comprises a three-piece suite with a bath, wc and wash basin. A shower could be fitted, it would involve some changing around within the bathroom but we understand this is a possibility.

Head outside and the garden will not disappoint. What a lovely space to enjoy so close to the town centre! Access the garden through the door that leads from the kitchen. The side return offers a useful space to store your logs or coal for the multi-fuel burner in the lounge. Beyond is a patio for entertaining guests or enjoying al-fresco dining during the warmer months. There is also an outside cupboard (old coal store) where the boiler was re-positioned to when changed.
Beyond the patio the garden is mostly laid to lawn, with planted borders and a large shed to the bottom. There is a gate providing rear access should this be required.

Parking is available on the road to the front of the house, which is permit controlled via the local council. Permits can be purchased for designated area's (this house falls within Zone B) from the local authority directly. Currently the cost of a permit is £55 per annum.

LOCATION Living in the Town Centre certainly has its perks. There is so much on your doorstep you need not worry about getting the car out if you want to pop to the shops.
You can walk into the high street or the County Square shopping centre within a matter of minutes. If you need access to the International Station that too is within easy reach, around 11 minutes on foot. The recently opened Elwick Place and Ashford College are also close-by.
If you do need to take the car out and need Motorway access, junction 9 of the M20 is only 4 minutes away!
